Downloading is an activity done by most of the Internet users. The best thing about GetGo Download Manager is the fact that the downloads can be resumed in case of a network problem or a sudden interrupted download.

The software can automatically capture every download link that the user clicks in the web browser. When it does this for the first time, it will ask the user what download manager to use, be it the GetGo software or the default download utility included in the browser.

While the files are downloading, some real-time information will be displayed in the program's window, like the size, speed and the remaining time of the download. The program features a lot of options for customizing the functional part and also the look and feel. Thus, the colors of the interface can be modified and also the theme. Besides that, the download location can be changed and a proxy can be setup, if the user isn't connected directly to the Internet.

The downloads can be scheduled to start at a specific moment in time, like downloading over night, which is useful for large files, that take a lot of time to download.

Pros:
It has a resume option, for continuing interrupted downloads due to network problems or a faulty website. It can also automatically capture download links from any browser and can add them to the download queue. Besides that, it displays a small transparent icon on the screen on which the user can drop the desired web pages which contain download links.

Cons:
The program doesn't have an option for limiting download speed, which could be useful when using a shared Internet connection. Furthermore, the multitude of options could confuse a beginner.
